If it hurts to even breathe, let's connect... If you are buried under vet bills, we'll do a Sliding Scale.
While I am no stranger to loss and over coming challenges, the sudden death of my sweet Wellington boy (pictured here) was truly the deepest heartbreak of my life.
With his loss in 2017 came a deep emotional whiplash and I realized how many people have been walking with a bullet in their hearts, missing their beloved companions with their soul. As a way to honor Wellington's legacy, I put myself through the training to become a certified Pet Bereavement Counselor, with the Association of Pet Loss and Bereavement, and the blessing of the Association of American Veterinary State Boards. Supporting people who are going through this harrowing heartbreak and helping them through their grief is truly rewarding. As I was experiencing Wellington's loss, my dear friends and family were trying to be helpful, but nothing they could say or do would console me, It hurt too much to even breathe. Some of their well-meaning advice was even frustrating and irritating. After a period of isolation, I read every book I could find, attended several group counseling and asked myself the question: with over 160M cats and dogs in the US (more than children!), how many people are walking around with a hole in their heart, and what can I do to help them? I am very sorry for the pain in your heart. I can relate, As you saw from the 2 min video on the main page, in 2018 I have also lost a second dog to cancer, Handsome. What I have learned along the way can help you through this heartbreak. 3 sessions are usually a good support to give you the tools to navigate this harrowing experience. If you are buried under vet bills, please know I have a sliding scale. I understand the pain and I never want money to stand in the way of healing. If you prefer the effectiveness an intimate group setting, message me to inquire about upcoming dates. |
